How to choose a wig?
Choosing a wig can seem complicated and time-consuming, especially if it's your first time.
Fortunately, nowadays there are so many wigs on offer that everyone can find a model to suit their needs, budget, and desired comfort. Buying a wig shouldn't be a big deal.
Whether you are losing your hair due to cancer, alopecia, chemotherapy treatment or other medical reasons, or if you simply want to change your look, we will help you through this important step by guiding you in choosing the right wig for you.
But above all, don't forget to treat yourself, a wig allows you to wear the hairstyle of your dreams or why not try a trendy and radiant colour.
STEP 1: SELECT YOUR SIZE
The cap size of a wig is very important. A wig that is too large or too small will not be comfortable and will not look natural.
There are 3 different sizes of wig: petite, medium and large.
All the wigs offered on our website are manually adjustable, which allows more than 90% of our customers to fit an "Average" size.
To determine your height, measure the circumference of your head with a tape measure from the back of your neck to your forehead and place the measure behind your ears.
Petite = from 50.8 cm to 53.9 cm Medium = from 54 cm to 57.2 cm Large = from 57.3 cm to 60.9 cm |
STEP 2: CHOOSING THE HAIR TYPE
Most people who have never seen a high-quality synthetic wig think they will need a natural hair wig to achieve a natural look. This is not the case at all. High quality synthetic wigs (like the ones we offer) are virtually indistinguishable from natural hair wigs.
Today's hair accessories are made of either "standard" synthetic fibre, heat resistant synthetic fibre or natural hair. All the wigs offered on our website are created with the highest quality fibres and hair available on the market.
The choice of hair type will depend mainly on the ease of care and use you are looking for and your budget.
Generally, synthetic fibre wigs are more affordable and have the great advantage of being practical and pre-styled; the synthetic fibre keeps its shape after washing. A natural hair wig gives a very natural look but requires dedicated maintenance and reshaping after washing. A larger budget is required.
The advantages and disadvantages for each hair type:

Nowadays, the synthetic fibres used for high quality wigs look and feel quite similar to natural hair. The synthetic fibre cannot be exposed to a heat source. Heating tools cannot be used. They have a shorter life span than natural hair. Count on 4 to 6 months with daily use and appropriate care. | Offers more styling versatility. Heated tools such as hair dryers, straightening or curling irons can be used at medium temperature (Maximum 160°C). | Quality natural hair wigs offer the most natural look. Natural Remy Hair is the highest quality hair available. The hair is tied with the cuticles facing the same direction, so it is less likely to tangle. |
STEP 3: CHOOSE THE STYLE
It's time to start thinking about the length and shape of the hair you want.
On our website you will find a filter system that allows you to easily refine your search to show only those models that match your criteria.
The wig models are classified into 3 lengths (short, medium and long) and 3 different hair types (straight, wavy and curly).
It is important to choose the optimal length and style of wig for your face shape.
STEP 4: WHAT TYPE OF HAT TO CHOOSE?
Standard cap
The standard classic wig is the most common and basic type available.
These wigs are machine made with rows of woven hair that are sewn together.
However, these wigs offer many advantages for a minimal price. Although the hair does not move as naturally as monofilament or hand-tied wigs, they still give you good volume and because of the open weave construction, your scalp will remain ventilated. Finally, 'braided' wigs are not as fragile as tulle or hand-tied wigs, which means they should last a long time with proper care.
Monofilament cap
More expensive than conventional wigs, monofilament wigs, or also known as medical wigs, are of a higher quality. The top of the cap is made of a thin membrane that perfectly imitates the scalp, into which the hair has been implanted individually and manually. This means that the wig can be styled in any direction and still look as real as life. Monofilament wigs are ideal for people with cancer or for women who have lost all their hair due to alopecia or another condition.
Mono part cap
Like the finish monofilamentThe hair is implanted individually and manually on a transparent membrane, but in this case only on one part of the cup. This is usually located either at the parting or at the crown. This version offers a more limited styling facility than the monofilament wigs.
100% handmade cap
Of even higher quality, here each hair is individually tied onto a very soft and stretchy mesh or lace cap. Unlike monofilament wigs, the entire cap is handmade, which gives it a natural look and unmatched lightness. This type of cap is ideal for sensitive scalps or hair loss.
100% handmade wigs are the ultimate in luxury, offering the most comfortable and natural look possible. It is also the most expensive type of wig.
Lace Front cap
Lace Front can be offered on classic/standard, monofilament or 100% handmade caps. Lace Front wigs feature hair individually tied on a fine lace at the front line. This finish allows you to style your hair back from your face for a very natural look.
STEP 5: CHOOSE YOUR COLOUR
Each brand and collection offer a wide range of colours to match your shade.
The colours available for each model are shown on the product sheet.
